Book Launch for MacArthur Series on Digital Media and Learning

On December 12 I traveled to Cambridge to participate in a book launch celebrating MIT Press' publication of a new series on digital media and learning supported by the MacArthur Foundation.
Diversionary Therapy
This project involves a collaboration with the ACID (AustralAsian Center for Interaction Design), who has developed a new gaming and digital storytelling platform for use by kids in burn units. ACID has organized research testing with 15 hospitals in the US, and are looking for content development for their platform. The Institute of Play has arranged to work with graduate students from three graduate programs-Parsons Design and Technology, NYU ITP, and Carnegie Mellon-to design a series of small games for ACID in Fall 2007.
