Book Launch for MacArthur Series on Digital Media and Learning

On December 12 I traveled to Cambridge to participate in a book launch celebrating MIT Press' publication of a new series on digital media and learning supported by the MacArthur Foundation. The series "examines the effects of digital media on how young people learn, play socialize and participate in civic life," including a volume on games and learning. The books are available for purchase or download (for free!). Their publication also marked the launch of the new International Journal of Learning and Media, edited by David Buckingham, Tara McPherson, and me. A Call for Papers has been issued, and can be downloaded on the site.
As part of the launch I had the distinct pleasure of participating in a panel with fellow MacArthur DML grantees Howard Gardner and Henry Jenkins. Listen to the PODCAST: How Technology is Changing Kids and Learning
